Philippians 3:9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith

Trusting in God to enable us Christians stay awake to His calling in our lives amidst situations that are not godly. Joseph believed in this when he ran away from Photiphar’s wife when she seduced him in the room. He intentionally chose to run away. This is being in situations that are not according to God’s will, then trusting on God to provide a way out. Not going the normal human way. Not doing things to please people, by our own ability, but leaning on the grace of God entirely to go through issues and situations in life.

The lady Jael in the book of Judges leaned on this grace of God, when she allowed in the main enemy guy of the battle- Sisera, and offered to give him water, and God’s wisdom told her to give him milk, and this guy slept out of being tired after the chase, and then Jael drilled a nail in his temple and killed him.

What a way to trust in the way of God and not looking to solve things our way. She bit by bit followed the leading of God, and victory was achieved in fighting the enemies of the Lord. we have got to wholly trust in the righteousness of the Lord, who is our achiever in everything. He conquered everything we struggle to conquer, he conquered even death itself.

Today lets lean on His righteousness wholly to be who the bible says we are; more than conquerors in Christ, so that we can be found in Him at the day of the Lord.

You would say but Kate what do I do when I am feeling like sinning or doing something that I know very well it’s not right with God? I say call out loud to God and say ‘Lord give me the grace to go through this. Father you know what am feeling right now, like doing this and that, but because your word says there is no temptation that has come to me that is not common with mankind, and also that you will give me a way of escape, then God open my eyes to see the way out’

The word of God is full of every solution to every issue of man.

We love a God who is concerned of every detail in our lives, and he is very approachable and not complicated at all. We just need to be open to Him and tell him issues as they are; that look here father/daddy/God, I feel this way, am tempted to do this, but I know your word says this and this and so this thing is not right with you. Release your grace right now that I may stand, and give me the victory’.

The God of heaven and earth fills his righteousness to those that hunger and thirst for it.” Blessed are those that hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled” (Matthew 5:6)

May you be found in the righteousness of God at all times, in Jesus name, Amen.
